In August 2024 I started a new position as Chair of Natural Sciences at Del Mar College* in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am also a biology professor and entomologist. Prior to this I worked at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. Most of my career is focused on undergraduate education in biology, and my primary research focus is on systematics and evolution of damselflies. My interests as a scientist lie in natural history, biodiversity, evolution, conservation, and protecting natural resources and the environment. This site has pages that explore these aspects in more detail, as well as a brief introduction to some other facets of my professional and personal life.
